Why USA?
- Broad Educational Opportunities: USA has the largest number of higher education institutions in the world translating into the availability of an almost unlimited number of academic options and fields of study. Students with even the most specific interests can find a desired course, likely not found elsewhere. Additionally, most universities offer top-tier education programs with highly qualified teaching staff.
- Boost in Career Development (within or outside the US): U.S. degrees are recognized throughout the world for their excellence. The teaching methodology and close industrial-linkages of US universities means students undergo hands-on, practical learning in their chosen fields. Employers anywhere find this immensely valuable, and this sets US degree-holders apart in the global marketplace.
- Work and Settlement Advantages: International students in the U.S. in valid F1 immigration status are permitted to work off-campus in optional practical training (OPT) status both during and after completion of their degree. While all international students in the US are allowed to work during and after completion of their studies, STEM degree holders can get their F1 student visa extended beyond the original 14 months granted to all employed students upon the completion of the degree. Alternatively, strong relationships with future employers during practical training sessions at university could even convince an employer to sponsor you for a visa sooner.
- Generous Funding and Manageable Costs of Living: USA offers institutional funding to all international students at all educational levels. You can secure full funding and a hefty per-month stipend at the PhD level, as well as need-based and merit-based scholarships at Undergraduate and Graduate levels, with a chance of securing 100% financial coverage. Of course, for this you must meet the basic application requirements including but not limited to Standardized Test Scores of SAT, GRE, or GMAT and an English Proficiency Test such as TOEFL, IELTS or PTE. Depending on the state and city, living costs can vary significantly, with always the chance of finding an affordable option for every candidate.
- Intakes and Right Time to Start: US universities offer three intakes, Fall (starting in September), Spring (starting in January) and Summer (starting in June). For sure-shot application success, we strongly recommend applicants to begin their process with us at least 6-8 months in advance of the application deadlines for each intake.
